How Amazon works the fee out

  1. Size tier — from the three sides, the length + girth, and the product's own weight.
  2. Billing weight — the greater of the real weight and the dimensional weight (length × width × height ÷ 139), rounded up.
  3. Fee band — the tier's band that the billing weight falls into (not the real weight).
  4. Surcharges — the per-pound amount above the band's threshold, then the fuel & logistics %.
